Theatrical Hallway
Hallways are the first thing we and our visitors notice about our homes. Ms. Pink set the scene for this costume maker’s apartment, reflecting his unique style – and available light – by using gold leaf alongside electric blue.
Bespoke artwork created drama from floor to ceiling, using bold contrasts, angles and checkerboard. Disciplined use of colour created a statement hallway that feels considered. The client described it as ‘habitable sculpture’.
“At the end of 2024, the white walls in my home started to look less like walls and more like blank canvases. They asked for colour and fun. But what to do? I had so many ideas, but no idea where to start. I found @mspinkinteriors on an episode of Channel 4 Outrageous Homes and greatly admired her style and perfectionism.
She kindly agreed to come by and gave me excellent advice: start in the hallway, the connection point of every room. It’ll then unlock what the other rooms should look like.
She created several brilliant designs for me and throughout the entire process was just beyond helpful, giving me tips about colours, contrasts and good technique.”
